MARRIAGE INTENSIVES

Many marriage intensive programs are just that…a program with several couples, speakers and the same information offered each time.
Our marriage intensives are very different. We meet with an individual couple, addressing their specific issues, personal needs and desires. We help them recognize issues, care about each other’s feelings, resolve conflicts, and learn to communicate better.
We walk alongside a couple with the Word of God as our guide, a very sincere love for the couple, and insights to share from our own long joyful and seasoned marriage.
What we see, is the couples
experiencing new direction, strength, forgiveness and hope in their marriage.
MARRIAGE MENTORING
Perhaps you feel your marriage is good and strong. But do you sometimes wish for a seasoned couple that you could meet with periodically to glean their wisdom, ask for advice, walk alongside with to navigate the bumps in the road or work through the glitches that pop up in your marriage?
Do you long for a mentoring couple to help you think things through, and offer refreshment to your marriage through meaningful encouragement?
The Bible affirms the wisdom of seeking Godly counsel in times of need. A Biblical model of counseling offers true hope and the power to change. It teaches us how to experience joy and how to live life victoriously. Practical and Biblical solutions enhance the quality of life and relationships.
Speaking
Bob and Ellen Dean speak together at marriage conferences, retreats, seminars and other events. They love the Lord and have a passion for encouraging and helping marriages. The venues can be churches, hotels, camps and other locations. The formats can range form one session to several over 2-3 days.
Bob and Ellen speak on a variety of topics regarding marriage, communication, oneness in intimacy, emotional closeness, spiritual intimacy, strength through struggles, roles in marriage and family issues, protecting marriage, parenting, conflict resolution, building and restoring trust.

Ellen teaches church leaders and lay leaders Biblical counseling skills so they can serve as “first responders” to needs within their church and with the small groups.

MARRIAGE INTENSIVES
Now Ellen and Bob can meet with one to two couples for 1-2 days for marriage intensives.
This is for couples who want to have intensive counseling in a concentrated time period. The setting can be a hotel or a retreat setting. Marriage Intensives provide help for couples who feel stuck or very conflicted in their marriage.
This format can provide hope, a plan for positive change, restoration, renewal, and guidance for a marriage. Marriage Intensives address specific and difficult issues the couple is experiencing. This kind of counseling can help a couple re-energize and recommit to their marriage.
Bob and Ellen have been married since 1974. They have been in the ministry together all of their marriage. They understand the demands of ministry. They also meet with couples who are serving in the ministry and are experiencing marital difficulties or ministry “burnout”.
Areas of counseling include: premarital; marriage issues; restoring trust in marriage; emotional, physical and spiritual intimacy in marriage; infidelity and adultery issues; unfaithfulness; marital roles; communication; conflict resolution; forgiveness; family relationships; financial issues; and blended families issues.
Marriages face struggles and difficulties at times. Is your marriage hurting? Do you feel discouraged? Have you been experiencing conflict? Marriage Intensives can offer concentrated help from an objective perspective.
They also give Biblical solutions and provide encouragement and guidance in challenging and discouraging times. Biblical Counseling and Ministries seeks to give wisdom and help for positive change.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Biblical Counseling and Ministries is focused on Jesus Christ, and how people can have a personal relationship with Him. Knowing Jesus Christ is the beginning of experiencing true hope, meaning in life and the power to change and grow.
Biblical principles instruct marriages toward restoration when the trust has been broken. God’s Word offers comfort in grief and sorrow and guides in the decisions of life. The Bible teaches us how to experience forgiveness from God and how to forgive others.
The Bible provides principles that enable people to experience loving marriages and stronger family relationships. It helps people find strength and peace in the times of struggles and storms in life.
Biblical truth teaches God’s love, grace, mercy and relationship with us. It shows how we can have real purpose and direction in life. It also teaches that each person is of great value because we are uniquely created by God. The Lord has a wonderful plan for each person’s life.
